AmazonSmile is no longer in operation.
After almost a decade, as of February 20, 2023, the AmazonSmile charity program is no longer in operation. The closure coincides with various cost-cutting efforts announced by the e-commerce giant. The AmazonSmile program allowed FPWC supporters to shop normally but select a charity such as FPWC, to which the colossal Amazon e-retailer donated 0.5 percent of the cost of all eligible products.
The news has been met with disbelief and confusion from charities and consumers. We have heard supporters say that they made purchases through Amazon because of the donation to FPWC, and it was a convenient way to support smaller charities like us who are innovative, creative, responsible, and frugal with our support.
Thankfully, there is a way to donate directly now that AmazonSmile has closed. Please visit our online donation link to help in our vision for a community, and a country, where every family and individual has a home, a job, and the opportunity to build a better future.

"In Our Own Backyards"
"I wanted you to know how wonderful your program is and that you really do help people. I am finally happy and comfortable in my new home, I have a bathtub and took a bubble bath for the first time in years. I have a deck so I can go outside and not be on the sidewalk. I enjoy my new atmosphere and new neighbors, I have never been able to talk to my neighbors before. I am really grateful and my life has changed so much because you helped me."
