Thank you to all who came out to our Open House to help us celebrate Family Promise Week on October 22nd. The day was well attended and demonstrated the immense support for Family Promise of Warren County and our main programs, the Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Homelessness Prevention/Rapid Re-Housing program.
Family Promise of Warren County is one of 182 programs across the country uniting the faith, civic and business communities to help children and their families who are homeless. We are an independent 501(c)3 private non- profit agency.
Family Promise Week runs from October 20th - October 27th and helps to raise awareness about the issue as well as celebrate the service of our volunteers and supporters. Since our opening in July of 2008, 58 families have been assisted in our IHN program. Over 250 Warren County families have been helped with our supplementary housing programs.
Thanks to everyone who attended including the Honorable Freeholder Ed Smith, Sheriff Dave Gallant, Prosecutor Richard T. Burke, representatives from Warren County Human Services, Warren County Temporary Assistance/Social Services, NJ Division of Youth and Family Services, Unity Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, Easter Seals, Warren County Probation, Alternatives, United Way, contingents from Changewater United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church of Hackettstown, United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, Oxford Second Presbyterian Church and all of the individual volunteers and supporters from churches and community, civic and business groups.
As we enter our 6th year of continuous operation, serving the most vulnerable families, we sincerely thank you for being involved in this program in our own backyards. On behalf of the families we serve, the staff and the Board of Directors, thank you for your unending support!
