Did you miss it? On May 2, singer-songwriter, author and presenter Gordon Thomas Ward interviewed Brian McCloskey, the organizer of the Muses in the Vineyard concert, and Family Promise Director, Bob Frankenfield on sponsor radio station WDVR.
In the interview, Brian shares about the upcoming concert to benefit Warren County Family Promise, and Bob explains the Family Promise program and how it works.
Sadly, homelessness is particularly devastating for children. Nearly 40% of all homeless persons are families with children, and in NJ, they are more than 50% of all homeless persons. And 51% of homeless children are too young for school, so they are not even counted.
It's especially hard to believe that here in America, over 16 million children live in households where they have to skip meals or eat less to make ends meet. And two-thirds of these poor children live in families in which at least one family member works!
Host Gordon Thomas Ward has graciously allowed us to share the interviews with you - just click here to listen (Bob's interview starts about 6 minutes in.)
And if you haven't purchased your tickets to the Muses in the Vineyard Concert, please consider doing so - it's just a week away, on Saturday, May 14, from 11 am until 9 pm at Brook Hollow Winery in Columbia, NJ.
There will be music - food - wine - and crafters - AND you will be supporting our efforts to help homeless families. A good time and a good cause all in one!
