We regret that the “Be a Superhero for Kids 5 K” scheduled for tomorrow morning will be postponed.

Road conditions here in Warren County have deteriorated, and predictions are that it will continue through 2 a.m. It has been reported that this is one of the earliest snow storms in the northeast since the Civil War. Running in 2 “ of snow may not be a problem, but it appears we will have considerably more than that on the ground by Sunday morning. With regret, we have decided to postpone the race in the interest of participants' safety.

AccuWeather.com meteorologists are now confident that several inches to a foot of heavy, wet and, in some cases, damaging snow will fall over parts of the mid-Atlantic andNew England on Saturday. The notion of a pre-Halloween snowstorm has meteorologists and climatologists scrambling to put the storm into some sort of perspective as to how many records could be busted by this snowstorm. For many cities, the snowstorm could go down as the biggest on record for the month of October.

We will make every effort to choose another date in the coming weeks which we hope will be agreeable. If it is not, we will refund your registration fee. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you on the rescheduled date. Please continue to visit www.wcfamilypromise.org and http://www.casashaw.org/ for further updates.
