In addition to the $500, United Way has issued a “Community Call to Action Challenge” to Warren County residents and business owners to match an additional $1,000 sponsored by the United Way to ensure families are kept intact. The program assists families, single parents, pregnant women and single women in providing emergency shelter, meals, and other support for helping families regain their independence. IHN has helped 25 families with children get back on their feet, and in the last 12 months alone, have assisted 107 Warren County households with the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program [HPRP] -- over 500 people.
