What is the Pat Dinger Hope for Children Fund of Warren County? The Pat Dinger Hope for Children Fund is a program that is sponsored by Family Promise of Warren County. This program is dedicated to assisting children whose families are homeless and/or currently guests of our Network by providing funds for needs such as: * Temporary Emergency Child Care
* Emergency Health Care
* Passes to Oxford Furnace Lake
* Essential Equipment
* Protective Clothing
* Shoe and Boot Fund
* Birthday and Christmas Gifts

These funds are to be utilized only when other sources of funding are not readily available within the community and are intended to be a bridge to other funding.

Family Promise of Warren County encourages the community to participate in this program to help the children of Warren County. Homeless children yearn for normalcy while in this time of great transition. This fund will assist them to have as normal a life as possible while their parents work to rebuild their lives.

How can you help?

Assistance from the community (both individuals and groups) is needed to get this program off the ground. We will provide children with the basic items needed to have as normal a life as possible in times of hardship. Often, some things are neglected so that families can obtain other necessities. It is the goal of the Pat Dinger Hope for Children Fund to meet these ever growing needs. The number of children eligible to receive from this fund is expected to increase each year. Your support is sincerely appreciated.

The fund is in memory of Patricia Dinger, who was a steadfast child advocate. Patricia was a pre-school teacher for Catholic Charities, Phillipsburg, NJ before retiring and she had volunteered her time with many organizations: as a first responder with the Portland Ambulance Corps, and the Warren County Domestic Abuse and Rape Crisis Center. She served on the board of directors with the Family Guidance Center and was very active with the Purple Posse and the Relay for Life.

No salaries or indirect expenses are taken from the donations. 100% of the fund is used to assist homeless children by providing funds for emergency childcare, health care, protective clothing, educational supplies and birthday and Christmas gifts as appropriate, if need exists. The Fund is entirely dependent upon community donations.
